National studies have identified the epidemic of veteran homelessness nationwide. In November 2007, the Homelessness Research Institute released Vital Mission: Ending Homelessness Among Veterans. Using 2006 CHALENG data from the Department of Veterans Affairs, this report showed that approximately 195,827 veterans were homeless on a given night—far too many. In March 2008, the VA released its 2007 CHALENG data, reporting that approximately 154,000 veterans were homeless--still far too many.
New Beginnings Incorporation organized in April 2009 in the state of Nevada for the purpose to provide homeless veterans with emergency, transitional and permanent housing, and support services in Southern Nevada and in Southern California. We are a public charity under IRS 501(c) (3). Our organizing founders include veterans who have served this great nation with honor.
